2K KIDS' DASH
Kids ... start your engines! What a great course for the kids' dash with all the thrill of starting under the same arch as the adults and charging along the fully closed roads in south Omaha.
The kids head off down Taumata Cres in the opposite direction to the adults ... heading straight for the tennis courts and path onto the beach front. At the half way point, they will charge past the venue on the coastal path, lined with cheering spectators and parents going out of their minds. What a thrill!
And when they finish, every kid receives their own finisher medal - just like the adults! - and will accrue points in the season-long Auckland Half Marathon Series. Kids are also eligible for their own special set of spot prizes in the draw so kids - make sure mum and dad don't leave early to beat the traffic!

The Course
Feel the thunder! We expect a huge line up of adults to cheer on the kids as they take centre stage for 2K dash. The dash starts on Taumata Rd, a safe and quiet cul-de-sac. The loop course takes all the kids right past the finish area half way through where plenty of whoops, cheers and encouragement will help carry them through the second km. And when they finish – an awesome finisher medal and a banana to replace those lost reserves!
